It’s time for another round of Recipe Remix!!!!!!!!!
Our first time out with this challenge was a great experience for both Danielle and I. We’d like to thank everyone again who participated. It is thanks to you we have been able to come back with a second installment of Recipe Remix! This time around we hope to at least double our participation and I think with this next theme we may be able to do so!
I am sure you have been anxiously awaiting the next theme for the Recipe Remix challenge. Let me just say, Danielle and I have a TON of great ideas in the works for future Recipe Remixes. Many are seasonal so you’ll just have to sit tight and wait for those.
In the meantime, the latest installment of Recipe Remix revolves around: Breakfast! Yes, breakfast, the most important meal of the day!
We have chosen the following breakfast foods for “remixing”:
- Pancakes
- French Toast
- Crepes
- Eggs Benedict
- Egg Breakfast Sandwich (think: typical fast food chain fare)
- Continental Breakfast (includes cold items such as: muffins, Danish, cinnamon rolls, breads, etc.)
Again, we are giving you all an option of 6 different to choose from as you please. Your goal is to take one of those dishes and create a variation of it that is not the “everyday.” For instance, maybe you have a great idea for a stuffed French toast, or a gourmet version of a breakfast egg sandwich, or maybe a savory stuffed crepe. The possibilities are endless!
Once you have created your own version of the dish chosen from the above list (we ask that this is a new blog entry, and not one from the past), blog about it, linking back to this post and/or inserting one of the logos into your entry, and post a picture your dish on your blog as well - so we can see the awesome yum-factor of your dish of course!
After you have blogged about your creation, please send us an email with “Recipe Remix: (Dish you have chosen)” in the subject line and the following information in your email:
o Your name,
o Your location
o Your blog name and link to your blog,
o The permalink to your blog entry for this challenge,
o A picture of your creation,
o A short explanation for why you chose the dish and how you were inspired to create the variation of it that you did
If you do not have a blog, feel free to email us with the above information (sans blog permalink of course!). Recipe Remix starts today so get cooking! All entries are due by Wednesday, May 28th. Look for the roundup of all of the scrumptious entries, right here, no later than May 29th.
Since Robin & Danielle are splitting the duty of Recipe Remix co-hosts (and hence are splitting the roundup duties), please email your submission via the below schedule:
If you have chosen any of the following dishes: Pancakes, French Toast, or Crepes please email Robin at: RecipeRemix-Robin at hotmail dot com.
If you have chosen any of the following dishes: Eggs Benedict, Egg Breakfast Sandwich, or Continental Breakfast, please email Danielle at RecipeRemix-Dani at cox dot net.
We saw so much creativity for our first challenge that we truly look forward to seeing what you all come up with for our breakfast theme. Happy Remixing!!!
And of course, please use our logos above when blogging about your creation. As you can see, Danielle has spiffed them up a bit to coincide with our latest theme!
